Good & Gather Organic Mixed Berry Fruit Snacks

Next up in our household staple series: Organic Mixed Berry Fruit Snacks. These look more like citrus colors than berry colors to me. Know what I mean?

I think of "berry" things as being black, blue, purple, and red. These are yellow, orange, and pink, so I'm inclined to think: lemon, orange, and grapefruit. Nope. These little do-dads are...? Well, shoot. That's a good question. What flavors are they supposed to be?

The packaging shows what appears to be strawberry, raspberry, and maybe grape? Interesting. No blueberry? That would explain the lack of blue fruit snacks.

The ingredients list shows the following real fruit juices were used in these tasty, fruity morsels: apple, blackcurrant, carrot, and radish. Okay. I see why they didn't tell us what juices were actually in these things. Further inspection reveals the aforementioned fruit juices are used only for color rather than flavor. So what flavor are they?

The only juice mentioned in the list that's not in the context of "color" is apple juice. So...these are apple flavored fruit snacks. I feel misled.

Still, they're fairly yummy. They're not as yummy as their "mixed fruit" predecessor, but pretty darn close. 

At $10.29 for 20 baggies, they're quite a bit pricier than the other fruit snacks. I guess you're paying for the organic-ness. Also, these are not gluten-free. They do contain wheat.

Favorite Day Holiday White Chocolate Mini Pretzels

Well, I've reverted back to this blog's original blogspot domain in case you hadn't noticed, partly due to a lack of traffic and partly due to the fact that GoDaddy sucks. I probably won't be posting on this blog quite as often, but if I come across something interesting from Target, I'll be sure to throw up a quick line or two to let you all know. In the mean time, What's Good at Trader Joe's? will be entering its 15th year of reviews soon and is still going strong.

My wife apparently bought these off of target.com recently and they just appeared in our office. Not sure why she chose these. She's not the biggest white chocolate gal. Maybe it's because I like white chocolate. Aww, how selfless of her. I like chocolate/candy coated pretzels, too, in general.

However, I've never been a big fan of Christmas snacks that are only "Christmas" because the packaging tells me so or they just added green and red food coloring. Know what I mean? At least throw in some cranberries or figs or peppermint or something tangibly Christmassy.

Sorry, I meant holiday-ish. I don't mean to exclude non-Christians here. But whatevs. These coated pretzels are exactly what you'd expect. They're small, salty, sweet, and crunchy.

When there are sweets and salty snacks and cookies and candies every-freaking-where for over a month from late November into the early new year, I feel like you really have to choose which treats to indulge in. These pretzels barely make the cut, but at the same time, it's hard to punish a product for simply being exactly what you knew it would be. Sometimes I feel the same way about people.

But now we're waxing a bit too philosophical for a food blog, aren't we? Let's keep it simple, folks. It is what it is.

Three bucks for the 6 oz resealable bag. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to buy this product again, but I never know when I'll get a white chocolate covered pretzel craving, so I can't rule it out completely.

Good & Gather Elote-Inspired Mini Empanadas

I've reviewed empanadas before. And I've reviewed elote-inspired dishes, too. And I've tried each dish from street vendors and restaurants. But I've never ever heard of elote empanadas before laying eyes on this product. Mexican street corn stuffed into a little fried bread pocket? Sounds absolutely delish.

After a spell in the air fryer, some of the filling started popping out the sides of the little turnover pastries and flowing onto the bottom of our Ninja's basket. They smelled pretty good, though. And they looked decent, too: the breading turned crispy brown and the filling was full of corn and creamy cheese.

They tasted vaguely like elote, I guess. There was definitely some mayo in there, or "mayonnaise-type dressing" as it says in the ingredients list, as well as citrus flavors, corn—obviously—and some nice herbs and spices like cilantro, oregano, chili and onion powder. They had a tangy, creamy flavor. I wouldn't have minded more cheese in the mix. Although sour cream, cream cheese, and parmesan are all listed in the ingredients, they kind of just stayed in the background.

$5.79 for eight tiny little empanadas. Certainly not the best value at Target or anywhere else for that matter, but worth a purchase if you're looking for a unique appetizer or convenient snack. The packaging says it's two servings, but I could have demolished this whole package in a single sitting easily. I was nice and shared with the wifey for lunch the other day, so we had to supplement with other snacks, sides, and Thanksgiving leftovers. My score would have been higher if there had been more food in the box. As is, I might buy again.

Good & Gather Pumpkin Pie Granola

Well, it looks like it's that time of year again. And even if I decided not to partake of pumpkin products personally, the little missus will most definitely be trying them anyway. So since they're already in the house and all, I figure I might as well give them a chance. I'm usually pleasantly surprised once or twice a year, so let's see what our good friends at GAG have offered us.

I think this pumpkin pie granola is somewhat decent, but the wifey absolutely loves it. There's a vague pumpkin spice notion about it. It's mostly cinnamon and ginger I taste.

Hey wait...wait a minute. Since when is turmeric a pumpkin spice? Are we doing Indian pumpkin spice fusion now? 

Ah, well. Fortunately, I like turmeric. I guess it goes with cinnamon and ginger. And it's orange...

I don't know how I feel about pumpkin seeds mixed with pumpkin spice. I feel like all seeds, pumpkin included, should be salty, not mixed with sugar and cinnamon, and certainly not drown in milk. That's an odd combo to me. But yet again, the wife raves about it. She says the pepitas make the product balanced and complete. Meh.

This is our first pumpkin product of the year, so we're still in "hooray for everything fall" mode. I'd probably give this a lower score if not for the beautiful wifey telling me how wonderful it is. 

$4.59 for the 11oz resealable bag. I have a feeling the missus will definitely be purchasing this one again. I just hope she waits until next year to do so.

Good & Gather Peanuts, Almonds & Peanut Butter with Cocoa Drizzle Nut Bars

Target really needs to work on their marketing, packaging, and labeling strategies. Can you imagine if you happened to LOVE these things and wanted your SO to pick some up on their next Target run? "Honey, can you pick up those Good and Gather Peanuts, Almonds, and Peanut Butter with Cocoa Drizzle Nut Bars?" That's a freaking mouthful if I ever heard one. They should give it some clever name like NICE bars. "Honey, grab me some NICE bars please!" It just rolls off the tongue.

For some reason it wasn't apparent until I actually opened the box and looked at the individual bars, but these are quite obviously GAG's take on KIND bars. They're mostly just nuts and grains all fused together with honey and rice syrup and...ew. Soy protein?

There's a thin layer of what appears to be chocolate coating the entire bottom of the bar. But there's no "chocolate" listed in the ingredients. I guess they're approximating it now with cocoa powder, chickory root, milk powder, and various oils. They call it a "cocoa drizzle." Fair enough.

I guess the bottom line is if you like KIND bars, you'll like these. I'm okay with either brand. They're vaguely not-bad-for-you and somewhat tasty.

$4.39 for four bars. Wait. You're telling me each of these little snacky snacks is more than a dollar? Dang. Inflation gonna inflate.

I give these KIND knockoffs 7 out of 10 stars.

Favorite Day Piña Colada Trail Mix

Things are already sticky enough in the summer. We don't need sticky foods to make things stickier. I can already tell the ingredients of this trail mix have fused together from the summer heat before I even open the bag. It looks like some genius has mixed together five of the stickiest foods known to man in a little plastic bag and released it as a seasonal summertime-only offering at Target...because, you know, in any other season the stickiness wouldn't be an issue.

This stuff better taste great, because I have a feeling I'm going to go through a lot of Wet Ones and be very grumpy after consuming a few handfuls...

First impressions: yes, my suspicions about the sticky-factor were absolutely correct. The ingredients all stick together in giant wads that you have to pry apart with your fingers, which then get covered in all manner of sugary glazes and syrups, which you then have to spend absurd amounts of time licking clean and/or using entire packs of wet wipes and/or running your hands under the faucet and/or showering to cleanse yourself from the tacky substance that now coats your entire body, and if you've eaten a handful or two somehow amidst the chaos, your pores are now secreting a sticky sweet jelly that fuses you to your car seat or office chair and prevents you from moving and making further attempts to clean the viscid goo from your body, face, and clothes and soon you succumb to the mucilaginous substance completely, cease moving, and become prey for whatever insects or wild animals smell the cloying glaze and begin to feed first on the confectionery coating and rum-flavored syrups and continue on to your lifeless body now too weak to resist the ravenous creatures as they feast and frenzy unto your demise.

But if you can make it past the stickiness, yes this is a tasty mix. It's possible I'm exaggerating just a tad, but this product is a little on the sweet side, I'd say. It vaguely tastes like piña colada, and I LOVE piña coladas.

They even have an element that tastes like rum. Those pecans go great with that gooey, syrupy, rummy glaze. The dried fruits are nothing to write home about, but they don't really detract from the mix, either.

I like the coconut pineapple balls. They're the best part. Not as sticky as some of the other ingredients.

TL;DR - The mix is a tad too sweet and way too sticky, but it tastes pretty good overall.

I give this trail mix 7 out of 10 stars.

Favorite Day Cookies & Crème Trail Mix

There's cookies and cream ice cream, cookies and cream cake, cookies and cream candy bars, cookies and cream cereal, and of course, cookies and cream cookies. But I've never in all my days heard of any version of cookies and cream with nuts. Seems weird. Seems like it should be called Favorite Day Cookies & Crème & Nuts, dontcha think?

At any rate, the almonds and peanuts here aren't unwelcome, exactly. It is a trail mix after all. They add some extra crunch to the already crunchy cookie-based mix. Not exactly traditional cookies and cream, but it works.

Then we have dark chocolate chips. I'd prefer milk chocolate chips. Never had cookies and cream with dark chocolate before. Oh well.

Next up, white chocolate chips. They're good. They add to the "crème" effect.

Cookies & crème-flavored bites. I guess these are like crunchy spherical chocolate cookies covered in a speckled confectionery coating. Cookies and crème-ish enough. No complaints.

Fudge flavored cookie pieces. They're okay i guess. These and the dark chocolate chips are my least favorite elements.

All in all, not very cookies and crème-esque, but not terrible either. Moderately indulgent. I think we paid about four and a half bucks for the 10.5 oz bag. Not something I'd choose for a hike on a warm day.

I give this trail mix 7 out of 10 stars.

Favorite Day Lemon Flavored Yogurt Dipped Almonds

Don't think I've ever craved lemon and almond at the same time in my whole life. But isn't that what good marketers do? They let you know you need or want something that you never thought you needed or wanted.

Lemon almonds.

I thought I knew what to expect. I thought I'd get tiny little almonds covered in white chocolate with some faint whisper of citrus flavor at the finish.

...I was WAY off!

These things are surprisingly sour. They're more lemony than almondy. They're honestly more sour than a lot of candy that blasts "SOUR" or "TART" in huge letters on the packaging. They are lemon-forward in the most shocking way, almost like a Warheads sour candy. And if you like the tart taste of lemon, that's a good thing. Fortunately for me, I love lemon.

They're sour, sweet, creamy, nutty, and salty all at the same time. And the one element that doesn't belong there in my humble opinion is the salt. There are 80mg of sodium in each serving that kinda get in the way. Sweet and sour works. Sweet and salty works. But salty, sweet, and sour..? No. Not really. Sorry. The salty and sour clash in a way that makes me want to pound a shot of tequila after each bite.

So...I'm like super pleasantly surprised at the pungent sour punch of these nuts, but I'm almost equally unpleasantly surprised at how much the salt and sour elements clash with each other. I really wanna like them, but in the end, I think these would rarely be a go-to snack to curb sweet cravings or salty cravings or any other kind of cravings. I think most people will like these even less than I do.

But if you enjoy sour candy or think super sour lemon almonds sound interesting, I highly recommend you try them. They're not what I was expecting at all. $3.99 for the 4 oz resealable bag.

I give these sour nuts 7 out of 10 stars.

Good & Gather Organic Strawberry Banana Instant Oatmeal

This is some good oatmeal overall, but it needs more of the fruit flavors—especially strawberry. Fortunately, we had some freeze dried strawberries on hand, which improved the taste significantly. It's organic, which is good. No pesticides used on these oats.

There are teeny tiny little bits of dried bananas and dried strawberries in the mix. There's also "strawberry juice" listed, but both of the strawberry elements appear in the "2% or less" part of the ingredients list. In my humble opinion, sweeteners don't get better than "organic cane sugar," which is what we're looking at here. Also, it's the second ingredient rather than the first, falling just after "organic whole grain rolled oats." So...pretty darn healthy by my standards.

I'm starting to wonder if Favorite Day is replacing Archer Farms and if Good & Gather (GAG) is replacing Simply Balanced. The beautiful wifey pointed out the other day that most of GAG's oatmeals are certified organic and have pretty healthy ingredients, while Favorite Day is specializing in things like "indulgent trail mixes" that are loaded with calories and sugar and generally aren't organic.

$2.99 for 8 packs of instant oatmeal. The wife likes it more than I do, and she's made repeat purchases of this product. I'd probably steer the score toward 6 or so, but she'd definitely put it in 8 or 8.5 territory. For her sake, I'll split the difference and throw out 7 stars.

Good & Gather Organic Confetti Cake Instant Oatmeal

Ah, the never-ending battle to make plain old boring oatmeal seem exciting. Confetti cake, huh? Kinda gimmicky, but hey, it worked on me. Why not "birthday cake oatmeal," I wonder.

Well, Nathan, because you would logically only have birthday cake oatmeal one day out of the year and you can enjoy confetti cake oatmeal year-round. Okay. I'll buy it.

But you know it's pretty much nothing but rolled oats and cane sugar in there. There's a tiny bit of rice flour, potato starch, and sunflower oil in the "colored bits," but those are just the icing on the proverbial cake. There's a dash of sea salt at the end of the ingredients, and voila, you've got a complete breakfast.

Did I mention all the ingredients are organic? That's a plus.

They colored the bits with all-natural food products like turmeric, anatto, and vegetable and fruit juices. That's kinda Trader Joe's-esque of Target. I don't remember seeing such holistic colorings from Good & Gather or Favorite Day before. The colors in the actual product aren't nearly as vibrant as they look on the packaging, but I can live with that.

The beautiful wifey and I both like it. Good & Gather Confetti Cake Oatmeal somehow transcends its simple ingredients and tastes fun and festive. I'll throw out seven stars. Why not? The value is there at $2.99 for eight packs of oatmeal.

I give this breakfast product 7 out of 10 stars.

Favorite Day Scarecrow Crunch

No squash. No pumpkin. No apple. No maple. Not even nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, and clove. Nothing fall-ish about this product but the name. I mean, I guess the colors are there. Orange, yellow, and brown are vaguely autumnal.

Nevertheless, it's a tasty indulgent mix. Quite a few of the ingredients are the usual suspects as far as Target trail mixes are concerned, although there's a surprise or two as well. Let's break things down.

Peanuts. Good-quality whole peanuts and in some cases, halves. Can't go wrong. The quantity of them in the mix is just about right by my estimation.

Peanut butter candies. AKA generic Reese's Pieces. I've always liked Reese's and these store-brand gems are a pretty tasty knock-off. No complaints here.

Milk chocolate-covered cereal squares. You know, like from "puppy chow"? Except there are so many PB ingredients in the bag that these might as well be covered in peanut butter too. They taste like chocolate peanut butter puppy chow. Pretty good.

White chocolate oat cereal. So basically...generic Cheerios with orange-colored white chocolate on them. I'm a fan of white chocolate, and I'm a fan of Cheerios, but these don't really do much for me. Meh.

Milk chocolate marshmallow bits. Alongside all the peanut butter, these little do-dads bring something fluffernutteresque to the equation. Despite my fondness for fluffernutter sandwiches, I don't think these were necessary in this Scarecrow Crunch bag.

All things considered, I'm glad I tried it, but I doubt I'd purchase it regularly. If you want sugar shock after taking a hike, then this is the trail mix to reach for. At least there's peanuts and peanut butter in there, so you'll get a bit of protein. The ingredients list reads like a novel...a very long, very boring novel. Also there should be at least one real fall/autumn ingredient.

I give this trail mix 7 out of 10 stars.

Favorite Day Sweet & Salty Nut Topping

Peanuts, cashews, and almonds. I love each of them separately, and I love all three together in one bag. They're salted and sweetened slightly, so that makes them even better.

I wouldn't say any one nut dominates the combo, flavor-wise. It tastes like all three at once, and at the same time, it doesn't really taste like any existing nut. It's just a generic nuttiness, you know. It's super nutty, but the flavor is not distinctly peanut plus cashew plus almond.

Also the nut bits are very tiny, so they don't look or feel like any of the three constituent nuts. They're great for topping a bowl of ice cream or yogurt. I'd even add them to oatmeal or certain types of cereal. 

It's also good for turning creamy peanut butter into chunky peanut butter, in case you live in a house divided over the whole chunky/creamy peanut butter debate. You can just let those creamy weirdos have their way and simply add a topping of these nut bits when you make your PBJ's.

And of course you can eat the stuff straight from the bag, but I prefer whole nuts to these tiny little chunklets. You really need a big handful to make a single satisfying bite, and their diminutive size means they get stuck in between teeth easily.

$1.79 for the bag. I'd buy 'em again.

I give this topping 7.5 out of 10 stars.

Favorite Day Spring Shimmer Almonds

Well this looks like Easter candy to me. I mean, it does have "spring" in the title, I suppose, to keep it non-denominational like that. I mean, everybody celebrates spring, right? How inclusive of Target.

Interestingly enough, we saw a very similar candy from Trader Joe's released just recently, too. Theirs looks very much like bird's eggs, while these are just shiny pastel colors. TJ's version was coated in dark chocolate, while these are coated in white chocolate. If you've been reading my posts for a while, you might remember that I generally prefer white or milk chocolate, although dark chocolate definitely has its moments.

And I'm glad Target went with white chocolate here. The nuttiness of the almonds goes well with the sugary sweetness of white chocolate. There's actually more white chocolate content in the product than actual almonds, according to the ingredients list. Not even sure how that's possible. The candy shells don't really add much other than color, and that's fine with me.

In summary, these candied almonds are snackable enough, and I always appreciate the resealable bag to keep them fresher longer. $6.49 for 12 oz. I mean I know there's inflation and all, but six and a half bucks for a bag of almonds is getting a little steep. The Trader Joe's product was only about four bucks, but I think their bag was a little smaller, too.

It's a limited time offering. Says so right on the bag. In the words of Fuel:

All that shimmers in this world is sure to fade

I give these festive almonds 7 out of 10 stars.

Favorite Day Neapolitan Sundae Trail Mix

Well if this doesn't fall under the category of "decadent or indulgent" trail mix, then I don't know what does. Target is trying to imitate the flavor of Neapolitan ice cream...with nuts, berries, and chips? This I gotta taste. Shall I break things down ingredient by ingredient?

The best and most unique elements by far are the "dried sweetened strawberries." I thought they'd be like super dehydrated berries with that weird, almost styrofoam-like consistency. Nope. These are whole strawberries, and they're actually chewy and moist, despite being "dried." They're also candied a little bit, so they're even sweeter than regular strawberries. I've never had a dried fruit anything like this before. They get a big thumbs up from me. It's worth trying the mix just for the strawberries.

Next, vanilla creme almonds. Nice. They're good. I think we've seen these before in another mix. Yep—in last year's Orange Creme Trail Mix. I wanted more of them in that mix. There are plenty of 'em in here. Another win.

Cashews. They're not candied in any way, but floating around with all those other sweeties, they inevitably have some sugar rub off on them. Slightly sweetened cashews = not a bad snack element.

Finally, there are three kinds of chips: chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and strawberry chips. None of them really stand out as particularly flavorful or necessary, but all together, they add extra sweetness and creaminess to the mix. The strawberry-flavored ones are the most unique. I don't know that I've had strawberry chips before. There are a good many of the chips in the mix, but they're fairly well balanced with the nuts.

Once again, the beautiful wifey enjoyed this product a bit more than I did. I was on the fence about a re-purchase, but she's definitely in the "I'd buy it again" camp. All in all, it's a thumbs up. I wish there were more of those candied strawbabies and maybe a little less chips.

Favorite Day Heart Shaped Red Velvet Shortbread Cookies

Time for an obligatory heart-shaped sweets review. It's February, after all.

It's the season for American men to gift chocolate and cookies and other fattening foods to their significant others to let them know that they'll love them even if they're fat. As an aside, I will state plainly here and now that my wife is NOT fat at all which, of course, I would state publicly even if she were on the chubby side. However, she's actually in really amazing shape right now...although I would love her just as much even if she weren't.

Kudos, wifey. You deserve some shortbread cookies with chocolate chips in them. Pretty sure she likes these a bit more than I do.

They're just plain old red shortbread. The chocolate chips are a nice touch. I wouldn't have minded more chocolate chips. Sonia would have preferred perhaps a tad fewer chocolate chips. There are maybe 5 or 6 mini chocolate chips in each heart. So the chocolate content is significant, but not overwhelming. The chips are made of milk chocolate, by the way, rather than dark.

There's a "sharing suggestion" on the back of the box that mentions melting white chocolate and dipping these cookies in it. We actually had white chocolate chips on hand and we tried melting them for that purpose. Have you ever tried melting white chocolate chips? Apparently, it's not something you do in the microwave. Anyway, the white chocolate basically hardened before we could get much of it on the cookies, but we can verify that yes, these do taste good when paired with white chocolate. I'm sure vanilla icing would work, too.

Cutesy? Check. Gimmicky? Check. Edible? Absolutely.

Amazing? No. Life-changing? Not by a long shot.

$2.99 for the package of about 21 cookies. If it were up to me, I wouldn't buy these again, but like I said the beautiful wifey likes them, so I'd pick 'em up for her. Happy Valentine's, peeps.

I give these shortbread cookies 7 out of 10 stars hearts.

Favorite Day Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream

So I guess somebody had a bunch of pumpkin cheesecake left over in Target's warehouses from the last product I reviewed, so they decided to throw it into a vat of fresh ice cream and make a new fall flavor.

Actually, I wish that's what happened. This product would have been markedly better had it contained big wads of that pumpkin cheesecake from the last review. 

As it is, there's only graham cracker bits scattered through the dessert. It's "pumpkin cheesecake flavored" ice cream. But there's not really any real cheesecake in it. Maybe graham crackers hold up better than real cheesecake when floating in ice cream for some reason..? They definitely bring a bit of crunch, which is nice, but I'd trade the grit of graham for the decadence of real cheesecake any day of the week. Still, it's a good flavor, and the graham cracker pieces almost get the job done.

On the plus side, there is real pumpkin in the mix, as well as a near-perfect balance of pumpkin spice flavors like cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and clove. The ice cream is nice and sweet, rich, and smooth. It's almost on par with the apple crisp ice cream we looked at a month or so ago in terms of overall quality, though I have to say I'd reach for that apple flavor again before I'd grab another pint of this offering.

That's not to say it's bad. If you've got a pumpkin spice jones and need to get your fix, this dairy treat will absolutely hit the spot. Maybe it's still warm where you are. Maybe you're not into apple as much as pumpkin. If so, I say check this product out. $2.49 for the pint.

Favorite Day Cinnamon Churro Cookie Bites

Ah, there's nothing like a fresh churro.

Growing up in the 80's and 90's in my white bread central Pennsylvania hometown, there were no churros. I'd never even heard of a churro until I moved to Los Angeles in my twenties.

I was introduced to them by my then-girlfriend, now-wife and some of her friends. We'd buy them while visiting Disneyland for something like 15 bucks a piece. Way better and way cheaper than those Mickey head ice cream bars.

I loved the cinnamon and sugar flavor, but the thing that stood out to me the most was the dough. It was always soft and supple, and it melted in my mouth like a warm, bready wad of butter. Since then, I've had really good churros from a lot of different Mexican restaurants, donut shops, and even street vendors.

While this product pretty much nails the flavor of a churro: cinnamon and sugar up front with something bread-like in the background, it obviously can't duplicate the fresh-baked aspect of a real churro. Some people might be fine with that, but I just find myself wishing these cookies were soft and chewy.

As crispy cookies go, these are among the softest I've had. There's a sandy quality to the texture, and it makes me crave a tall glass of milk every time I eat them. The back of the bag suggests pairing them with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. I bet they'd be delicious that way, too.

I think these will be a hit with folks that love good-quality crispy cookies, but I'll almost always reach for something soft. Still, not a bad purchase at $2.99 for the 7 oz bag.

My wife was a bit more into these cookies than I was, and I must admit, she's more of a churro expert than I am. She probably would have scored them somewhere in the ballpark of 8 stars, in case you're curious. 

I give these cookies 7 out of 10 stars.

Good & Gather Everything Cashews

Ah, it's time for Target's Everything but the Bagel Cashews. Oh, no wait. Must be thinking of another brand. 

These are Everything but the Girl Cashews, right? No? 

Everything but the House. That has to be it. 

Everything but the Kitchen Sink?

Nope. Just "Everything Cashews." 

Or "Everything Seasoned Cashews Made with Sesame Seeds, Garlic, Onion, Salt & Poppy Seeds" if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

Let's dive in. GAG has blessed us with another relatively tasty snack. If you're going to pick a single nut to mix with everything bagel seasoning, I think cashews are probably your best bet.

I feel like everything seasoning might clash with some other tasty nuts like almonds or peanuts, and nuts I'm not as fond of, such as Brazil nuts or pine nuts, would ruin the salty seediness of the everything seasoning. The rich creaminess of cashews balances out the potent taste of onions, garlic, and sesame seeds fairly well.

The everything seasoning adds a little bit of an extra crunch, too. I think most of the elements in the seasoning are crispier and harder than the texture of the average cashew. They tend to be soft, as nuts go.

The resealable bag is always handy and welcome. No matter what product it is in the package, it'll stay much fresher with that convenient ziplock seal. 

$5.99 for the 7.5 oz bag. That's a fair price point in my opinion. Cashews aren't generally cheap, since they only grow in frost-free tropical areas. 

I'd buy again if I were in the mood for cashews—and yes, I do think I prefer this seasoned version over plain cashews, just ever so slightly.
